Kernel stuff:
module-assistant auto-install lirc
setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none # also maybe ttyS1
modprobe lirc-serial
lircd stuff:
Get a configuration file for your remote, save in /etc/lirc/lircd.conf
- (re)start lircd
- Test with irw
client stuff:
Set up a ~/.lircrc file
- Start the client
- Control!
